The weather was kind to us. The rains from the previous day(s) cleared the skies of the infamous 'SoCal Grunge'.

It was a picture perfect day! 

This year we decided to cater the event and have a party. El Pollo Loco was our choice and everyone in attendance was able to eat and drink to their heart's content. It was the Club's 'Thank You' to all of it's friends,  members and supporters. We had visitors from as far away as San Diego and Ventura- Thank you for coming!

The main event was the Auction. This year's event included specimens, rare plants, planters, and pots ( from our Treasurer- Tree)- about 90 items total. (at the end of the day, only 3 items did not sell.)

Our auctioneers were Michael Buckner - The Plant Man and Tom Glavich - Skyview Succulents.  Their 'herculean' efforts of  keeping our interests level high and educatibg us on many of the plants, got us through all of the items. They are to be applauded. My thanks to both of you- we couldn't have done it without you!

 Special Thanks to C&J Cactus, California Cactus, Kelly Griffin of Rancho Soledad Nurseries for their donations and contributions to the auction.  'Thank You' to the Dominguez Adobe  for their continued support of our club.
